Unlocking Homeownership: Discover the REACH Foundation in Washington County

As dedicated real estate agentsoh in Utah, nothing excites us more than helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. In fast-growing Washington County, the REACH Foundation—powered by the Washington County Board of Realtors—makes that dream more attainable through its down payment assistance program.

REACH (Real Estate Assistance for Community Housing) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering $5,000 grants to qualified buyers. These funds go directly toward down payment or closing costs—no repayment required, no lien on your home. The grant applies only to owner-occupied homes in Washington County (including modular and manufactured homes), purchased with a local REALTOR®. Key requirements include a credit score above 640, lender pre-qualification, and closing within 12 months of approval.

In 2025 alone, REACH helped 11 new homeowners overcome barriers in a market where median prices hover around $520,000. Recipients like Celeste Juarez Cardenas shared, “This grant has helped make a dream come true… not just for me but for my kids.” Joshua Allsop and Hannah Torres added that the assistance created long-term stability for their family.

REACH also supports local nonprofits addressing affordability and homelessness, building stronger communities.

If you’re considering a move to Washington County, this program could be your key to getting started. Applications open periodically—next deadline February-March 2026.
