Modern Farmhouse Kitchen
White kitchens always have been, and will remain a timeless design choice. Pairing white cabinets with open shelving, subway tile and a big, practical sink gives this kitchen in Mapleton a classic modern farmhouse look. White is a popular choice because it is so easy to change up. You can achieve a minimal look or use it as a base to add in layers of color and texture.
If you like the white trend but want to mix it up, consider choosing a different color for the island, or painting the lower cabinets a different shade than the uppers. Last summer I gave my kitchen a “refresh” and decided to do a 2-tone look on the cabinets. I absolutely love navy so I used Benjamin Moore Hale Navy for that pop of color I wanted. It’s only paint after all so if I get tired of the look I will just repaint!
Other popular trends we continue to see in 2021 is the use of wood tones, gold/brass finishes, and statement lighting. Whatever you choose in your home make sure that it works for your lifestyle and of course, that you love it!
